looks great i just got the stage 2 kit a week ago. i almost have the motor back in the car now. watch out for those wrist pin locks. it sucks tring to put them in. my thumbs still hurt :thumb:

This was included in the package

JE pistons .020 Bore 8:8:1 Compression
Eagle H Beam Rods
JE Rings (.020 to fit pistons)
ACL Main Bearings
ACL Rod bearings
Manufactured Crank
Complete Rebuild Gasket set from ROL (includes valve stem seals)
Melling Oil Pump

for $1,419.99 (shipping is a bi***, about $120.00 due to the weight of the crank).

Like the flower background, it brings out the manliness of the motor ;) :p

:talon:

have fun puttin all that stuff in. i did. why did you get a new crank? my motor had 136000 miles and my journals were still good. make sure to prime the poop out of your oil system and dont get those cam cap bolts to tight.

You wasted about $300 on that deal.

Should have gone with a howell automotive rebuild kit. It would have been better parts. there is no reason to get a new crank. In fact, Im sure all it does it screw with things anyway because now you ahve to ensure your new crank is spec'ed out to your used block.

There is no oil pump in that kit... :(

I myself will be getting their Stage 2 rebuild kit.
All of that minus the crank I don't need, and the melling oil pump that I can just buy separately.....under $1000 :sneaky:

I got all my stuff from Modernperformance.com. Adding that stuff up, I paid $300 less for that stuff.

Unless thats a forged crank (which its not) you got ripped off. There is no reason for a new crank. I had mine checked, resized, and balanced for $60. I wish I would have got it knife edged...

The reason I went with the crank is I am building a separate block with those internals. I wanted to have the least amount of down time with this rebuild. So buying the internals, crank, and other block (on its way from PA) will give me the opportunity to drive the car swap out blocks in couple in a couple of hours. Going the traditional way will leave my car at a shop probably in a day or two to complete. Time is money for me, not having a second car is problem to get around in central Florida. :notgood: I actually got all these parts for $1230 but I added a complete motor gasket set with was $80 more and the killer shipping price.

I bought a block by a trusty member on 2gnt.com, the crank is spec out correctly and my internals are here. I do not have to worry about if my block is in good condition or have to the crank inspected or whatever is done to a crank before putting back in the car. Going this route is more expensive but the car will be ready faster. I can easily sell my current block and crank and receive probably get about 150-200 bucks back when I done. So back off with the money thing

Hey man, as long as your happy with it it's alll good.

Myself I plan to be doing a complete 420a rebuild/turbo/tranny party/nightmare this fall.. Though im going to see how cheaply I can do this. 2nd hand turbo, block off a junkyard (
gonnna have it redone anyways) and so forth and so on.. :)
