how and where di you check your compression on your car I was wondering I have asked and they want to charge me like 90.00 ok guys thanks

You can go to an auto parts and purchase a compression guage for like 15-30 bucks depends on what you want. Then you have to pull a plug and disconnect the coil....i think...might check with someone else.

If you disconnect the coil, then how is the engine suppose to start?

heh, don't worry about it.. the tool is pretty cheap and it's not too hard to do.... there's not much you can screw up with... just make sure your plugs and injectors aren't going to fire when you crank it... that can make a mess :)

yo,
sorry to break the 2g mojo here but i have a 1g and my compression all of the sudden dipped hard into the 60s on #1 cylinder with a steady fall goin through the rest any of u geniuses know what this is maybe a head gasket or i need a valve job any input would be awesome, ps i just recently had new head installed guy claimed he threw on new gasket and 12 new valves so i dont know if he #@%#@%#@%#@%ed up or what tell me what u think.

yeah, if it isnt the head gasket it may be your piston ring lands. I know there are a couple of tests that you can do to determine which one it actually is. I just cant think of what they are at this current time.

Well if I have a freak you should to talk to one of the NT guys in my club, my car is barely faster than his and all he has is an UDP short ram, and GST muffler, since im running 15.4's im thinking he should be around 15.5-6
