ECU upgraded (420A) and shipped back?

Has anyone checked this out or know anything about it?

Company claims to upgrade your ECU and ship it back for good gains (420A motor specific).

I searched this forum for anything on this briefly and found nothing. If I missed a related thread please direct me to it.

if it were truely 420a specific then the guy would know that we DONT have a speed limiter. also an ECU does not go to the dealer to get the vin or mileage program EVER. it is a scam. each year of ECU is different from the others and the 95 ECU's are like caomparing apples and oranges. the ONLY proven ECU upgrade we have besides a $1,000 standalone unit is the AFX ecu, and unless your a 97 forget it.

if the mod were true he would have an established shop, and we over at 2gnt would be buying it. however he is pawning JUNK on ebay and taking advantage of the non-informed..if you want usefull info- go here- 2GNT

ECU's DO require programming depending on the vehicle. It's NOT a scam because there are tons of vehicles out there with alot of computers on them and until the Body computer or Engine controller is programmed with the VIN, Sentry Key Code, or other information such as pinion factor and told that it has cruise and A/C, then the computer will not work right. The options on the car will not work and the speedometer will be off. This is NOT a scam. And the mileage DOES have to be put in using a dealer scan tool. By sending YOUR computer, no visit to the dealership is required in order to program these things back in.

these things have worked for other cars when they come from actual reputable companies. however this is not one of those...henceforth this item sold on ebay is a SCAM...if you think otherwise have a chat with dino..he'll set you straight.

I was NOT disputing the product or it's seller. I don't deal with Ebay, with this seller or the product.

I DO work at a dealership and have to program mileage and other options in to new computers on a regular basis.

Whether this is a scam or not, I don't care. What I do care about is mis-information being posted out here and that's why I piped up about the technical aspect of this product. ECUs, BCMs, SKIM, and TCMs needing programing (depending on the vehicle) is not something I need to go ask someone else about. Thanks.
