I want to do a setup for my exhaust. I would like to just go from my cat straight pipe all the way to my muffler, no bends (except maybe one). Would this be possible, my car is not lowered and I am not too worried about scraping anything. Do you guys think it would be too loud inside the car or if it would heat up the gas tank or floorboards too much. It's just a question because I don't have the money and never will for a real exhaust and all I can get is crush bent around here so the less bends the better. Thanks for the help people. Later.

if im not mistaken arnt our exhost piples pretty much straight

Your best bet would be to run straight until you get just about to the rear wheels. Then put one bend and have your exhaust exit infront of the driver rear tire. You might run into problems if you try to go out the back. A good mandrel bent exhaust, even with 2 or 3 bends, will flow really good. I'm worried about clearence for my exhaust..... 2.75" turbo back, no cat, no resonator, just a Apex or MagnaFlow muffler.

im running a 2.5 headder flex pipe i finaly found a high flow cat, and im still debating if i want to put a glass pack on it... ive been told it was a bad idea because the fiber glass would burn out over time and make the my exhost less effecient because of it but its all comming out into a obx muffler its straight though so i think it will give me the deep tone that i am looking for but glass pack would be nice if they wont hurt anything?? OMG

because thats all a resonantor is a glass back. Your pipes are not straight ,they have a few curves. The only eclipse with straight back design is the gsx. God knows I've been under mine several times it goes from dead center to the passenger side over the right rear axle then cuts over to the left side and exits

glass packs go hollow after a short period of time. the packing meterial inside gets heated up and burns off slowly. as this happens it gets louder and louder as less packing is there. after a while your left with a holoow pipe thats opff shape and will hurt your exhaust flow.

get a test pipe and a cat back with a descent muffler. why do you think glasspacks are so cheap

isnt the turbo cat angled different then the NT one and it wont fit? cuz he got a turbo high flow cat, and he said theres an o2 bung in it, which would mean that there will be 2 bungs for 1 sensor. plus i thought the angle was different so it wont fit.

i see what your sayin... i will make the cat fit if not ill just throw the test pipe on it and sell the cat on e bay its all good either way :talon:

on mine i'm running just the cat and muffler i made sure the muffler i got was packed with stainless mesh shavings. has a really low rumble, :thumb: sounds really good not like those honda bees :barf: . still stock size pipe, but it is pretty loud inside the car. thank god for the even louder sound system. :D

yah i hear what your saying... when i put my cai on it make car car noticable louder, had to turn the volume up on the radio a few notches higher :thumb: im going with 2.5 pipe and i dont think the difference in the cat will be a problem because im haveing a guy make custom pipes from my cat back to the muffler so i figure as long as i have enoughf slack in the o2 sensor i sholdent have any problems with anything... i want preformance but im not looking to be super loud.. thats the only reason why i was looking into glass packs but if they are going to hender performance screw it just have to turn the raido up alittle higher hehe :D good thing i got those 2 12" punches in the back :p
