I just posted something somewhere else saying that I was going to buy a 1991 Laser RS Turbo, but as it turns out it didn't have a turbo, so I guess I'm going to buy an 4G63T engine and put it in. The question is, will it fit? Has it been done before? How much does it cost usually? I've got 2500 to play with and I want the installation done right. My friends have offered to do it, my uncle and his racing friends have offered to do it, but where can I get it done professionally in Oklahoma City/Moore/Norman?! Don't I need a special exhaust for a turbo? I don't know anything about cars really, I just change oil and tires on them. Would the stock transmission stand up to the 4g63t, or do I need to buy a new one? Can someone please help me?

did u buy the laser n/t yet? if you did in fact buy the n/t, your probably going to spend that 2500 on the engine and "professional installation". if you trust your friends or your uncle then i would install with them. youll learn alot about your car simply by dropping the engine in yourself. im not sure if it would fit as i am not familiar with the lasers. i know for us 2gnt guys if we wanted to swap a 4g63t it would be roughly 4-5k with pro installation. if you havent bought the laser yet dont buy, just wait till you find a turbo laser since u want the 4g63t. it will save u alot of time and money. if you dont know too much about cars like you stated, u might want to take into consideration that the an engine swap is very difficult if you dont know what your doing.
