I heard of a MASS and a MAFT and i have no clue wut either of em r so i am asking if i could put one on my non-turbo'd rs and have it add power anyone kno of this being possible?

wut about the injen MASS for the 2g gst's and gsx's i want to buy one and somehow put one on my car if it would add HP but not sure on how it works or if its possible?

what that does is read how much air is going into the turbo and send it to the computer for fuel curves. that is why venting can harm the performance, the MAS has read air that is being released, so extra fuel is being dumped in for air that isnt there anymore. you do not want, or need it. it is only for the turbo cars, and that intake wouldnt even fit on your car. it doesnt add any performance either. just get a CAI from AEM or any other company, one thats designed for our cars.
 
4g63s use teh Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor. The ECU uses them to determine how much air is being taken in. Our 420As use a Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor. I'm pretty sure the airflow characteristics are more linear for a non-turbo car and that is why they can determine how much fuel to add based solely on thigns like manifold pressure, intake air temperature, and coolant temperature.
