My questions are kinda basic. I have a 94 Talon DL with a 1.8L non-turbo engine. My cousin has a 92-94 Talon TSi parts car that he bought to use parts from for his 92 Talon ES. The engine currently does not run, but would not need much work to fix. Could I use the head/intake/exhaust/turbo on my DL? Could I fix the engine and swap it into my DL? Could I fix the engine and use my DL's bodywork on the TSi? Which of these would be the easiest?

The 4G63, and the 4G37 is not compatible. Put it this way, you are talking about Venus, and Earth. One has lava all over, the other one is a mild climate. IT is totally different, and don't expect parts to fit. YOUR DL wiring harness, top motor mount, and ecm are totally different. You would be better off buying a GS, or GST-X/ES, or TSI, and deal with it like that. The 1.8 is 1.8, and that is the way it is. If you want it different serious modifications will be made.

So basically I'd be better of rebuilding the TSi engine and using my DL's body to repair the crash damage?

Ok, question I thought of after my last post....what kind of extensive modifications would I need? I have access to an almost complete TSi engine.

To put a TSI engine into a DL, you would need the following:

Boost Guage
Wiring Harness [ that thing with all yoru wires to your starter, yeah, that stuff would have to go]
ECM
Dash Board [ where your guages are, would have to go so you could put a 7 RPM rev limit on there, or you could keep it and just pretend you redline at 6 RPM, LOL]
Top Motormount
New flywheel
New Clutch
New Preasure plate
New Throw out bearing

The transmission has the same diameter, and probably would fit, I don't know if it can handle the stress like the other manuel transmission, that would have to be found out by you once you start putting stress on it. Everything would have to be converted over to your DL that the Talon has. That is what I would prepare for.

Well I think this car has about all of that stuff, so I fortunately won't have to buy it all new. Not to mention, I'm sure I can get a good price from my cuz.
