jdm93dsm said:whats the size difference? jw
jdm93dsm said:I pretty much knew that... i was more along the lines asking the size in general.
for example.... what is the diameter of a NT 1st gen and gst 1st gen?

but i dont want a loud sound... i like to hear my engine! NyteDSM96 said:ok here we go, this is where im at my best, YES it will improve you performance wise. and its a really intelligent thing to do because they usually do not go for as high as many of the after market exhaust systems you could get instead. however, you will be a sleeper since it will not make much of a difference in sound. no you will not drive fear into the heart of most cars, but it will serve as a pretty good upgrade. how much gains you will achieve i cannot say, but u will notice it, and for a lot cheaper price.

Randomrage said:Anybody have a pic of the stock gs-t exhaust? And do you just hack our stock one off and weld the gs-t muffler on in its place? Same pipe offset, size, and mount points?
GSGoinFast said:damn your car looks good
no i think to see the full gains you have to do the piping also, from the catback, not just the muffler. the stock muffler looks just like ours, that gross yellowish metal color, except it has 2 tips instead of 1. the design of the GS-T and GS exausts are the same from the catback, same flow route, except the GS-T one flows better.

Just my 2 pennies.EclpzLvr97 said:the gst won't be *ideal* b/c it will take away from low-end torque....and in my opinion, that's what we need help with.

Randomrage said:This has just changed my mind. Im going with the original plan, Magnaflow cat-back. I need all the help 800-3500 rpm (pre-No2) I can get.
GSGoinFast said:i disagree.
i dont think it will make him a sleeper, in fact the opposite. if he is next to anyone who knows anything about dsm's, there gonna see the twin muffler tips and think hes a turbo dsm, which is way faster than what he really is. my .02
InjenTalon96, did you already get the 97 GS-T exaust? cause its in your profile. it kinda bugs me if people put stuff they plan on getting into there mod list. if i did that i would have a never ending list, cause my plans change sooo much.

NyteDSM96 said:my car doesnt have the twin tail pipes, its a single pipe very similar to the rs's and gs's. i didnt know that the gs-t exhaust was ONLY the twin tail pipe muffler. and its not just my car, my friends gs-t is the same way![]()

pics??
well, maybe not starin, it is kinda hidden, actually, u gotta look at it from the side. and oh yeah, my vin number appears as gs-t
however, i made the car look like a gs or an rs by removing the side skirts that come on gs-t's, i also painted the car over just to be able cover up the part that says gs-t on the back. the car didnt come w/ the gs-t high wing so i didnt have to bother w/ that, although i wouldnt have touched it if it did come on it. yup, i went pretty far in order to make my car a sleeper... but i didnt touch the exhaust system, thats why i still think the twin tail pipe muffler is not uniform for gs-t's. i have more pics on the gallery section of the page. this is the only one on my pc for the moment.NyteDSM96 said:wow, i never thought about that..... maybe.... but wat is dat snail lookin thing starin at me everytime i open the hood???well, maybe not starin, it is kinda hidden, actually, u gotta look at it from the side. and oh yeah, my vin number appears as gs-t
