4g63t engine swap

I have a 94 eagle talon DL and it is slower than my mothers minivan i need to know if it is at all possible to do an engine swap with a 4g63t and get rid of that SOHC 1.8L piece of crap i have alot of money into the interior and body of my car so i would really like to keep the body. Anyone got any ideas?

anything is possible, but you would be much better off selling your car and buying a turbo if you want one. 1g's are pretty cheap compared to the cost of buying a motor and fitting in your current car. Besides, have you looked at your suspension, brakes, etc... It will be far better to just buy a car with the proper stuff already in it, if you look around you will find people who have done swaps and everyone of them says that they should have just bought a car.

If you already had a 2.0 in there it would make life a lot easier. But you have the 1.8 and so much stuff is different that you will have such a hard time doing it. it isn't worth the hassle. A 1g turbo car can be had $cheap. even cheaper if you find one with a blown motor, probably less than 700 bucks. Look around before killing yourself with a motor swap. It'll be nice to have that 1.8 as a backup car. trust me.

heres the solution. buy a 1g turbo. put all the interior stuff from the ESi to the TSi, and all the stock interior crap back into the ESi.

i have no clue what you're talking about, but nice car btw.

back to the topic. everyone's right. to go from 1.8 to 2.0 turbo is a huge change and it would most likely be more cost effective to sell the 1.8 for a 2.0 turbo.
