newbie q's what motor do i have?

hey guys,
i have the 1.8 litre sohc. its in a 93 talon. what model talon do i have and how many horses is in that little 1.8? should i jus dump it and put in a 2.0? this is my first dsm car, so i don't know much about it. i got the car for 500 bucks cuz he thought he had a bad trans but all it needed was trans fluid.

the 1.8 has 92hp to the crank from the factory. it all depends on how much hp you want and how much money you are wanting to spend, you can do some mods to it, like exhaust, intake, and underdrive pulley which will get you some good noticable gains. cory

If you have the time, money, and access to a decent motor, i would dump the 1.8 and drop a 4G63T into it... i feel the lack of power in my 2.0 140hp engine, i cant imagine a 1.8. just my .02

Its a 1.8L SOHC 4G37. It pushs ~92 to the crank factory. The 4G63 NT will fit up to the tranny and will use factory engine mounts, but you need to run the same generation motor, for example 90-91 = 1genA 92-94 = 1genB. haha i got mine for 5 bils too. Yeah if u want power sell it and get a 2g turbo man. They dont make shit for my 1.8. . Except NOS
