Max Boost of Star Sytage 2 on 95?

I just found a 95 Eclipse GS with around 70k miles and I want to buy it. car already has exhaust, intake, rims, spoiler and coilovers so it is semi-modified...but I want more.

I have been looking into getting the Star Racing Stage 2 Turbo Kit. Claims 280 hp with 9-10 psi and I was wondering, would that be the max boost of the turbo or what? Turbo is t3/t4 turbonetics hybrid turbo and comes with all necassary hardware.

So I guess basically i'm asking how much can stock handle?

Stock, it'll handle 9-10 PSI, maybe less. Probably Less. You will have to rebuild your engine soon. After that you can run more boost. There's a few guys over at www.2gnt.com running 15 PSI daily driven, some even more than that, but it requires a rebuild.

since that kit comes with a T3/T4 I would keep the boost around 8psi to be safe. When I start boosting I do plan on getting a kit with the T3/To4E and will only boost 5psi until I can get some 315cc injectors and then I will up the boost to 8-9psi.

i have a queation about this kit the t3/t4 ...do we have to change the pistons and the rods when we get it or what ? and what do u pplz mean when u say we have to rebuild the engine ? what exactly needs rebuilding ?

Bottom end kit comes with new oil pump, clevite bearings, rods, pistons, and rings.

No you don't have to rebuild when you get it. You can run it till it dies (may be a year may be 5 that depends on you) or until you want to go above 10psi. And it will require the parts above to be rebuilt. Then you can turn up the boost and really have some fun.
