Hi I own a 1992 Eagle Talon ESI. and was wondering if I should spend money building up my NT and adding a 100 shot of N02?

I really dont want to see a bunch of turbo guys tell me to get a turbo.

Thanks in advance. :talon:

Welcome to the wonderful world of the N/T! :D

Should you do a build up for a 100 shot? thats a question only you can answer, just keep in mind a few things-with a shot that big your going to need some engine internals and that can get pretty $. Can you do the work yourself? Are you going to take the car to the track or use it as a daily driven street car?

Our N/ts are great cars and if you want to build it up and run a 100 shot then i say go for it, just keep in mind what your getting yourself into :thumb:

1st of all do a compression test

2nd: if u get a good compression, our internals can hold a wet 75 shot....wit that said u will obviously need some supporting mods (at least intake, header, exhaust (a hi-flo cat is recomended)

3rd: u might not wanna start off wit a big shot, for example i am modding my car, currently i have mods on, and am waiting for some parts, if i were to get a nos kit right now, knowing that it will eventually be a 75 (wet), i would start it at 35. I have cai/header/exhaust/no cat/udp/afc n some more stuff, later on when the engine gets used to it i will push it to 50, get colder plugs/new wires/port work/cams n cam gears n maybe a fuel pump (190lph) then push up to a 75......jus some friendly advice :dsm:

This should be in the General/Newbie Section.

But to answer your question, n2o is a waste of time (IMO) since you're going to pay $30-$60 for refilling the bottle each time. A 10lb. bottle will last maybe around 10-15 shots for stoplight "adventures".

But then again, its your money.

You will need the basic I/H/E. Then move to the internals and fuel system (also a MSD unit, if you're not wanting to run like a pig off the bottle).

If you do a search, you will find out much information about nitrous and the needed supporting mods.

No much for the adventures as you put it, I use self control. This IS the right forum I believe, I am asking about N/T car mods in the N/T section. I dont think it can get any clearer than that, but obviously for some people it may need to be. :talon:

General/Newbie Forum
Basic DSM parts and installation questions and general discussion. DSM newbies must post here.

Judging by your thread title and registered date (April 2004), that is exactly where you should have posted.

It doesn't get any clearer than that.

Performance discussions for the non-turbo owners.

So this doesnt qualify under that either?
 :talon:

who the hell cares where this post should be. Maybe it could fit in either forumn. If it needs to be in the newby forum, then a modorator would move it. But lets just answer his question and go on about our business. Too many people on here love to just pick fights and bicker over some of the stupidest stuff. We are all on here to help each other and make our cars nice. So with that goal in mind. I would say drive the car, make sure you know how strong your tranny/ clutch is. And as someone said earlier, have a compression test done. Then you should know what kind of shape your car is in. And if it is questionable at all, then stay far away from the bottle till your car is in perfect condition. Otherwise you end up like me, lots of money into a blown motor. :thumb: And welcome to dsmtuners my friend, good luck
