where to put ground wires???!

i have a 99 rs. i got some ground wires and no instructions so i was wondering if anyone can help me. where and what are the best places to ground. let me know. thanks

The May 2004 issue of Modified mag did an article on this with a 2G Turbo Talon. From what I've been told parts of the body are good if you sand it down to the metal. I plan on doing this in the near future too so I'll let you know what I end up doing when I do it.

I dropped some 8 gauge ground lines this weekend car idles way smoother dont know for sure but i feel a little more power but thats probably cause i got rid of my front bumpers 20 pound stump

You don't want to ground to more than one location. So in that diagram above, by grounding at both the fender and firewall, you introduce a ground loop potential. I did some serious reaseach into making one of these kits and even sold them for a while. The kits we made grounded the same points (more or less), but they leapfrogged from the farthest point back to the negative terminal of thebattery, and then all went to the OEM ground point on the fender. (Yes, we removed the little strap from the throttle to the firewall at that point).

It's nothing to get all serious about either. It's kinda like a strut tower bar imo. The majority of cars out ther will have little use for one, but it's cheap enough that you figure why not...
