I just got a new set of 450cc injectors from the turbo manual dsm's and I also bought the resistor pack so I don't burn the new injectors when I install them in my Non-Turbo car.

I don't see ANYWHERE how to connect the resistor box to the harness in the Non-Turbo, I have the wiring schematics and the cable gauge isn't even the same in both cars but I don't think that should be a problem. The wire colors are not the same either and there's no plug that fits the resistor pack's plug.

I don't think there's a need to change to the turbo wiring harness but just intercept the 4 injector cables, but before I go splicing cables and cutting stuff up (which I love) I was wondering if there's an "easy way" to do this.

Anyone out there has done this mod?

don't do it, they are too much or the nt engine. You will flood the engine and loose alot of power. The most you can go on a nt engine is 400cc. Anything more and the car won't rev past 4250-4500rpm. The engine dosen't pull in enough air to deal with that much more fuel.

I'm aware of that and that's why I have a SFAC, besides I'm running a dry nitrous kit which is exactly why I need the bigger injectors.

However, DO YOU KNOW how to install the resistor box??????

I finally figured out how to install the damn low-impedance 450cc injectors in my Non-Turbo. The Chilton's Book is probably the worst crap worth buying, a roll of toilet paper would probably be more useful than the fuc**ing expensive book.
Thanks to the circuits in the shop manual, I was able to splice into the Non-Turbo wiring harness and connect the injectors and drill two holes in the firewall for the resistor box. (Doesn't fit cause of the purge control valve)

All it takes is a wire coming from the purge control valve and finding out the 4 injector cables in the wiring harness with a continuity voltmeter to make a clean installation. I went back to the junkyard and got the female part of the connector with the 5 cables and did the splicing on the female side and taped it up, left only the male connector sticking out and plugged the resistor box. Looks like it came right out of the factory with the 450cc injectors and resistor box.

If anyone wants detailed explanation of how to do this and follow the circuit diagrams (which are very tricky) email me. The circuits are a pain in the arse since the cables are not the same color in the turbo vs non-turbo and they are hidden under the plastic cover that wraps all the cables going to the ecu.

It's all good, can't wait to spray those 75HP on you turbo guys.

sounds good, man we have to start an NT club here in Miami, and we can beat up on turbos together
