What Does Your A/T DSM Top Out AT?

Okay,I know this has been posted before by soulcontoller,but it's different this time. Automatic N/A owners this time,what does your DSM top out at. I've heard automatics don't have the same top speed as their manual counterparts,but is it that much? Anyway,just post your times,cause I'm too lazy to get into my slushbox Eclipse a found out myself.:cool:
 
I've gotten my 97 Gs up to 115mph with the overdrive off. Thats with AEM cold air intake, GReddy Headers, OBX Hi-flow cat and catback exhaust. With the overdrive on though it'll barely go 95.

I'm in Germany, and when on the autobahn, I've seen 124MPH. It feels strong until the O/D kicks in, then it feels like it dies. I'm sure nitrous would keep it going faster though, cuz there's no speed limiter. I got a short ram intake with a ram air set up, and muffler on stock piping, so its basically stock. Hope this helps.
 
Ah yeah... not MY car but my bros, 99RS at is there anything we can do just to get the speedlimiter to shut the hell up because overdriveon/off it tops out at 100 and it SHOULD go faster than that right?
 
Fear is the only thing stopping you at 100 MPH, cuz there is no speed limiter on this car. You should go 120 MPH easy even with the O/D off.
 
I dont wanna be questioning you or anything, you know a lot more than i do... but like i said i wasnt driving so i cant be positive but i doubt he (my bro) would be holding back in the least, it was petal to the metal... thanks
 
I had my spyder going 125 and it felt like it had more but I had to slow down cause of traffic
 
Just look me up in the gallery on page 1. I just ran dryer hose from the vent on the bumper up to the filter, with a heat shield on the filter, with a few sip ties! That's it.
 
it took a long stretch of I-95 south from philly and no cars around and eventually I got up past 120 (maybe 124 but it was more then 120 and less then 130) the first 110 came pretty easy but it was a slow climb up after that
 
I got my '91 Talon ESi Automatic up to 117 with no mods but exhaust and intake. I can easilly make it above 100. I mean no problem. I am sure I could have done more than 117, but my wheels weren't balanced correctly at the time and my arm was going numb from the wheel shaking. I would say that givin the opportunity, I could top out at 125-130. Not sure though.

i have had mine to about 118 or 120... but i have a question. do all dsm's come with the power button.....mine has one but i have only seen like 3 or 4 other dsm's that have them
 
I currently have my '95 GS Automatic with only a short ram intake and a pacesetter header and the fastest I've gone in my car was 115, but I didn't push it all the way. I believe I could have gone around 120-125 mph if I kept on. Anyways, A/T N/T Eclipses are quite slow. :)
 
I've had mine up to 90-mph but it didn't feel like it had much more left. Ya know the expression, "factory freak"? Well, I've got a "factory dud".:(
 
I've been up to 121mph in my car when it was stock and I had two of my friends in there with me that was 3yrs. ago and I haven't tried again since then.
 
a little over 100, could have gone faster if there weren't THREE other people in the car.:mad:
 
I don't think the engine has a fuel cutoff at 130 mph, I just don't think it has the power to go any faster. Peeps with the 420A and a turbo kit can get into the 140's.
 
I got mine up to 130 on the interstate, but didn't try to take it even further (don't know if it would have). At 130, the car started to feel really unstable, slightly jerking around, and practically going airborne on any kind of bump, so I slowed down. I don't need to wreck another car:mad:
