420a starter questions

does anyone know if noen starters and 2G 420a starters are the same/interchangable? i have a friend w/ a 2000 neon and he needs a starter. i know someone who will get rid of a 2G starter dirt cheap so i am wondering if i can save my bro some $$$$? thanks in advance

Parts catalog shows the 00 neon to use a p/n 4793493 and the 98 2gnt calls for a 4672108ab. The part numbers indicate that they are different. The difference may be something simple like a connector change or something more drastic like a bolt hole relocation. The starters themselves will be very close because of the engines used but without having one from each side by side I don't think anyone will be able to give you a better answer.
