I am just curious how many pepole actualy race there N/T automtic Eclipse or talon... and if you do race what kind of mods do you have and what kind of cars are your main compition on the street?

There's lots of people on 2gnt who have modded their automatics.

Search around there for the final drive mod... it basically changes your gear ratios and has been said to be the 'best bang for the buck'.

Get the final drive gears and also shift kit then you will be happy with your auto.

yeah they make shift kits they are like $20 from www.northernautoparts.com look for the a604 tranny or the 41te.

whats a shift kit do? is it worth it? soory, but i have searched this forum many times, and i couldn't find any down to earth info on it. all i've been reading about is a translab one thats like 139 bucks. could you guys give me some quick info?

Basically all it does is make your shifts quicker, instead of there being a slow and smooth process of your tranny shifting from one gear to the next it will be really fast and shift a lot harder.

is it worth getting? i've got an Auto. and compared to my friend's with a manual dsm, the manuals are a lot faster. would i be able to keep up with them? also, i read some stuff about the translab shift kit and end cluth. is that something i should consider, or what?

I'm pretty sure the translab kit is for turbo cars. if you go on www.2gnt.com you will see what a lot of people think about the shift kit, some say that with the shift kit and final drive mod that your car will be as fast as a manual and if you look around a little more you will find a few more mods you can do to your auto like the torque converter lockout mod.
