Finally my eclipse is almost ready to get back on the road. I haven't been able to drive it since June 03'. Engine was completely blown, threw a rod threw the oil pan{ouchh!}. Anyway so I picked up a junker engine off Ebay for $400{yeah thats a steal} everywhere else it was like $3,000. But it was a heavily used engine 117,000 miles. So I got a Howell Performance bottom end kit with 8.6 comp pistons{going turbo later}. While they are working on it I'm getting a new head gasket and timing belt. I'm also getting the head ported and polished. My question is what else can I have done that will produce some good performance gains? I was thinking of boring out the throttle body and port and polishing the intake manifold, but how much? I know stock our throttle body is like 52mm, is 57mm to large? Also keep in mine I plan on adding Crane cams later. What about valve jobs? I've heard people talking about 3 angle valve jobs, would that help performance? In the end I want to be able to run turbo- starting with Star stage 2{hopefully eventually going to a bigger turbo}- and at least a 50 shot of Nos. Any help is greatly appreciated. Please nothing negative I'm asking cause I don't know. Also before someone says it I tried the search.
Thanks
