WHAT EXACTLY ARE CAM GEARS AND WHAT DO THEY DO??
and...
IN THE SECOND GEN TURBO'S DO THEY USE THE 4G63 TURBO OR A 420A TURBO?

cam gears are gears that attach to ur cams

all dsm turbo cars use 4g63t

cam gears are used to advance and retard timing, therefore HP gains and torque gains, if you go for the AEM ones make sure they are the new 5 bolts series as i have heard the 3 bolt series comes lose quite often and that can cause problems for you.

A cam gear will rotate your cam shaft that will open and close your intake and exhaust valves (allowing your engine to "breathe"). Just be careful if you are going to mess with them because if you screw up your timing you will screw up your engine.
