which ones are better? and does greddy make a 4-2-1 header if not what good company makes them?

thanks

hey...read the "apexi header" post in this section.

Greddy doesn't list a 4-2-1 on their website though I read that they make them. I doubt it though since no one seems to sell one. (i've been looking for quite some time)

4-2-1 suppose to give you better low end withouth giving much of high end. 4-1 gives you high end but you lose low end torque. Some NT owners say headers are a waste of money and you only feel a 5 hp difference. But some also say it's worth it. I don't have a header yet since I'm contemplating HRC turbo, but if I don't, I will buy a used header from somebody. Brand new, a Greddy is like 4 bones. OMG

The brands to choose from are Greddy, Pacesetter, Brospeed and Hotshot. I heard Greddy fits the best ( Don't they always?)

I have a greddy 4-1 header. It fits perfectly (no fabrications or adjustments were needed). It is expensive. The HP gain is minimual since our stock header and downpipe flows very well.

Put your money into Port and Polishing your intake manifLOLd. I did this also and it yeilded excellent results. The header is probably the last thing I would do for NA mods.

If you are planning on staying NA:
Port and polish your intake mani, bore your TB, purchase an UDP, Exhasut, Intake, Port and Polish your cylinder head(increase compression), street grind cams, cam gears, ect.....then a header. Just my opinion on NA mods and not nessecarily in that order.

Hey Logic3, who did your p&p for your intake mani? I got my Tb bored at ARD...was going to send them my intake mani too. Just checking my options and prices. tia

4-2-1 Exhaust Header-
- So called the Tri-Y header
- Improves the low end power considerably and may give you a little increase on the top end.
- This system gives all round power/even distribution of power throughout rpm
-More for road use

4-1 Exhaust Header
- 4-1 header suitable if you are looking for all out high-rpm dragging power.
- Extreme performance in the higher rpm range.
- Hurt your low end, but will really make up for it when you are wringing it out above 5500 rpm!(best power at high revs!)
- For high performance & race use
