Two weeks ago I check my oil and it was at the bottom of the oil dipstick, so I added a little less then 1/4 quart which brought it up to about the middle of the dip stick.

Today I check my oil and it's low again at the bottom marker. So I put about a 1/4 quart in it again.

Now it's been really cold out lately so would that have anything to do with it? Last time I checked my compression this fall the 3rd cylinder was off from the rest by 5 psi.

Car has 50K miles.

Any ideas? I don't see any leaks on the ground. Turbo seems to be spoolin fine but I haven't had the chance to check it out for leaks. Last time I was under the car it looks good though.

NA or turbo?

Edit: NM u said something about turbo uptop so i guess its turbo

idk my brothers old 95 talon esi crankwalked and it burned alot of oil.

Not necessarily crank walk. Pull off your intake pipe and IC line and check for oil residue. On my car I had access oil coming from the valve cover. All u have to do is get a cheap filter for it from Pepboys, Napa, etc. Also look closely at your turbo and oil housings for leaks. Do u have any signs of crankwalk?

I don't see how losing oil has anything to do to with crankwalk...

Maybe a seal on my turbo is goin bad? I havn't had a chance to take the IC off to clean it and check for oil, it's been to dang cold.

I wanna say when it gets below the first tick mark it stops leaking because I drove 2K miles with out checking the oil and that's when I noticed it was a little low. Oil pressure looks fine on the stock gauges.

its called toasted valve stem seals...your burning oil. welcome to my world it sucks

since it's so dang cold (10 F) think I'm burning oil until the engine heats up and expands?
