Stainless Header and Down Pipe... High pitch!

Hey, does anyone have a stainless steel header and downpipe? If so, did you notice it to be alot more high pitched. I want to make my car sound deep. I have a 2.5'' catback and my muffler is pretty loud to begin with, so i know that does not help. But does anyone have a solution or even the same problem as me? Thanks

Dnp

yeah it's a little surprising. Kinda sounds a little brighter a little louder. I don't notice it now. I have SS exhaust manifold studs, 5 layer copper exhaust manifold gasket, DNP SS tubular exhaust manifold, SS turbo to exhaust manifold gasket, SS tubular atmospheric dump O2 sensor housing, Buschur racing 2.5 inch SS downpipe, SS hi flo cat, Thermal research 3 inch catback exhaust with all SS hardware. The DNP mani changed the exhaust note the most noticeably. I learned to live with it. Actually I dig it. I think I'm going to get a test pipe to make it sound a little meaner.

Oh man you're NT

Ah ok I can really see how your exhaust note would change. You have a true header, kind of a drastic change.

yeah haha, if i get a muffler that is slightly more constrictive, would that help at all? i know it will make it quieter but will it help with it being so high pitched? also i only have the stock cat if that makes a difference

Yes a different muffler will make a big difference on how your exhaust tone sounds. Putting on a header and high flow cat will definintly make your tone deeper. I know this first hand as the last car I owned was a 1995 talon ESI. It had a ebay header, high flow cat, and Apexi N1 cat-back. I got nothing but compliments on how good the exhaust sounded. Also putting on an intake will help deepen the exhaust tone.
