ok im rebuilding a 1.8 motor for a turbo because i want it to handle 20 psi , u think i should go pistons, rods, turbo cam, port polish? wat else? should i not do rods? because i heard they are pretty strong.

id go with with je's i got a pirce for 600.00. rods are good up to 400hp so no need to worry, and where u getting the turbo cam ? definatly port and polish the head... and u have alot to do before u can get to 20psi and the internal part of the engine wouldn't be the problem..

Yea , noone makes a 1.8 cam

rods will be fine

just rebuild and use JE pistons and get better rings.

A port and polish would really help.

yea 20 psi wont be as hard as you think.. i disconnected the hose to my wastegate actuator and i was at 16psi at 5300 rpm.. no problem there after abuot 11psi it kinda cut out because the lack of fuel there so i stopped of course. doesnt some company make cams? like if you send in your old cam dont they make you a new one with the lift you specify?
