Is this better than a turbo and is at the same price?

I think i have found a solution to using a 420a motor and not haveing to get into the trouble of turboing it. Just tell me what you all think and will this make 300whp after all said and done or more. Here is the setup Stage 2 Crower Cams, Je pistons with crower rods, AEM true time cam gears, urthodox crank pulley, new header, a 50 to 75 shot of nos (aka the good stuff) :p venom control module so tell me if you think this will take the place of a turbo and how much horse power will this run you. :dsm:

Since you didn't upgrade the fuel pump you will probably blow the engine. Also check the site FAQ, rule 5 last paragraph:

No "bench racing". Bench racing is defined as posting hypothetical questions to try and see how fast or how powerful your car is, or will be. If you want to know what time to expect at the track, whether or not your car can beat another specified car, or how much power it will have with a particular modification (or mod list), then go to the track or the dyno and find out for sure. Do not ask for people to guess in our forums. It's pointless and it wastes space. Serious enthusiasts go out and do it, they don't talk about doing it. If you're not serious about performance, find another online community to be a part of.

No, you will never in a billion years make more than 300hp with a 420a unless you go turbo. Even going turbo, it will be difficult to hit 300hp with a 420a. Also, the Venom control module is junk. Get a SAFCII. With your setup you might make a little better than 200hp with the nitrous. Though if you run nitrous with high compression pistons, you will need someway to read knock. I hear the J&S Safeguard is a good system for that. You also should free up your intake and exhaust also. That means cold air intake, bigger downpipe (unless header comes with downpipe), header, high flow cat, and no bigger than 2.5 inch exhaust. You will need more fuel. Bigger injectors and fuel pump are a must have item before you think about spraying and doing anything with cams and pistons. Go over to www.2gnt.com and see what they're doing over there. Do some searches, reading, and make some phone calls so that you can get some good advice on how to proceed with your all motor buildup.

Good luck
