Well, I'm in the process of getting a set of turbo cams for my N/T 4G63.

Once I get them in I think I'm also gonna add a Walbro 190lph Fuel pump and an FPR and a set of 310cc injectors.

If I'm not mistaken the 4G63K has this basic setup and puts out 167HP (according to the "how to make a turbo kit" thread anyway).

Hopefully I'll be able to get up near 167 with this. I also figure I'll be on my first steps to adding a turbo if I ever decide to.

What do you guys think about the injetors though? You think I should stick with the 240cc for now and go 450cc+ if I decide to turbo, or will the 240cc injectors be stretched a bit too far (the K has 300cc injectors).

I figure the walbro and FPR are good to have anyway wether I go turbo or not.

Think I'll get anything out of it with my current mods? 4-2-1 Header, test pipe, 2.5" to a straight-through mufler, 8mm Accell wires, cut stock air can, K&N filter, E-Bay hard intake pipe, SplitFire plugs with 0.044 gap.

I might also stick an ACT2100 in there and get the flywheel machined down a few pounds shortly after, not sure on that yet though.

i'd reccomend buying an actual light weight fly wheel rather than getting one machined down... I heard that machined down stock ones have a tendancy to break or split or shatter.. something like that.

Ahh thanks for the info. On my old MX-3 they used to machine flywheels down all the time, I guess the DSM flywheels don't like it as much. Only thing I don't like about the test pipe is it makes my car sound like a Honda =P Oh well.

dsm stock flywheels suck. get a fidanza. the stockers shatter when machined down. well not from machining they get strees crakcs and explode.

Cams is the only power increaser in your list of goodies. The fuel system is basically supporting mods for horsepower mods that you do not have. If you want to stay N/A, I'd suggest a few things to get you up to 167HP.

1. Cold air intake system. Has to be custom built to suck the air from within the bumper skin.

2. Ported head job. Port to match the runners on the intake manifold.

3. Turbo cams with gears on the end tuned and set on a dyno.

4. Heat range HOTTER spark plugs. I'm not sure if they make BPR5s but I'd check for those. Get some blue wires to accomodate your car's color.

5. Custom headers and 2.25" full exhaust with no cat.

6. Racing pullies to replace the stocker pullies.

7. Eliminate your balance shafts. This is actually very impressive HP gains in a n/a.

8. SAFC or GM MAF-T to play with fuel and timing settings.

9. Timing light to bump up the timing a few degrees.

Once you have those, then I'd suggest 300cc/min injectors and a rewired turbo fuel pump.

Also, keep the n/t flywheel. It's plenty light. I have a few of them. Not very heavy at all.

NOTE: I just checked your gallery pictures. It seems you are already on your way.

id go lightened flywheel because of that lesser weight, pulleys, and balance shafts eliominate dhell see insane gains. well in the butt dyno anyway. stock flywheel weighs like 22 lbs i think on a n/t,fidanza is 8.

Yeah, I want to do many of those things down the line... Right now I'm on the camshaft stage.

I've already got the following in there:
4-2-1 header
2.5" test pipe
2.5" exhaust
Straight-through-style muffler
8mm Accell wires
SplitFire plugs with 0.044 gap (not sure how these compare to stock)
K&N filter
Cut stock air can
E-Bay 2.5" polished hard intake pipe

Putting the cams in next (gonna have to wait on adjusting cam gears on a dyno since I don't have access to a dyno as of yet so I'm gonna use the stock cam gears).

Also gonna do the balance-shaft removal at some point.

I'm working on a "custom" air intake idea right now. I am gonna put a vent above the filter in the hood and maybe put a heatshield facing the engine. Gonna try to find a way to get the air up in from the bottom as well.

Thanks for the info!

if you do this put abs plastic underneath the scoop. itll sit below the hood level with a small aluminum spacer so itll still let air in but will deflect water away from your air filter

their is a plastic baffle/box thingie behind the bumper on the passanger side of the car. its where the ic is on a turbo car. take that box out cut the front out of it and you have the beginings of a ram air setup that is totally hidden. if anything do the above, put a 90' elbow on the hole in the top of the box. my datalogger says that i am getting intake air temp thats the same as ambient temp

the balance shaft stuff though, don't you need to have your engine professionally balanced or something like that if you take those out???

I think some homework needs to be done before buying parts.. Fidanza doesn't make a lightened flywheel for the N/T tranny.. So you would have to use a turbo tranny with a turbo clutch...

Another good modification that's worked well for me is the gm MAF and translator. The translator will let you do some fuel tuning as well.

dude thunderskull pm me or post some info in detail on the maf translator setup. id liek to hear more abotu it and capabilities.

uyo good swap also, im doin it right now for stregnth reasons. my last n/t cracked my tranny in half almost. itll give you a little more top speed also. with soem good mods itll make a good swap. but wqith only a intake itll slow you down slightly

Yes some homework does need to be done for the fidanza flywheel will work in a non turbo car as long as you get the 6 bolt or the 7 bolt depending on the bolt pattern. i have a non turbo with the fidanza 8lb flywheel and also have a act2100 and a slowboy racing lsd for a turbo
