Has anyone used the Injen short ram intake for the 1.8L? What about the Monza catalytic converter? Found these items on a website and was wondering if anyone has any feedback on them.

i am runnin the monza highflow cat on my 2.0... its pretty good... i don't know how good... i mean, i don't feel any different but i know its flowing better because my exhaust sounds smoother than when i had on my headers and exhaust and my cat was a major choke point... made me sound so horribly rice... than i put on the highflow... really lowered my tone for my exhaust...

i have the injen intake for the 1.8l works nice compared to the stock one, but i'd prefur the one from the 2.0. i wouldn't pay 190.00 bucks for the injen for the 1.8 not worth it, i got mine for free thats why i have it, id maybe pay that for the one from the 2.0 which will work on the 1.8 just perfect ;)

Ok, what about the Pacesetter catback system, the centerforce clutch set or the Unorthodox Racing crank pulley Ultra S. I know that I have read other threads about the 1.8L lack of aftermarket parts, but I keep finda a little here and there. If anyone has used these let me know how they worked for ya. Thanks for the advice on the 2.0L intake. I can get one of those for a lot less than the $190. Will it fit without any modifications?

i also have the the pasecetter catback and the underdrive pulley, the exhaust works awesome and so does the underdrive pulley i noticed a gain from both of them when installing them espiacially the exhaust, our exhausts are really restrictive. u shouldn't have any prob with the 2.0 intake should go on just fine, i've seen them on the 1.8's and they look great and they also said they had no prob putting it on.

they stopped making them  the only place u can find one is on ebay or dsmtraders theres 1 on forsale every once and awhile

I just had the Centerforce Dual Friction clutch kit put on my 91 eclipse gs 1.8L.... very good so far... :thumb:

as far as intakes, on my 1.8 I used the intake from punishment racing b/c it is only $35 shipped! Power gains were the same as any. When you buy it, run lowes and get some 2.5 to 2" fittings, and some clamps before you install it!! I'll post a pic tomorrow! :thumb:

P.S.- the customer service at punishment racing sucked for me, I tried and tried to get in touch with them, but they never would return my emails oe Instant Messages :thumbdown

where can you get the underdrive pulley?

Try Unorthodoxracing.com that's where I found the info on them. Not sure what the availabitly is on them though.

the 1.8L underdrive pully has been discontinued, you can try the trader, the classifieds here or ebay if you really want one.

I got it through Speedworld which is in baldwin where i live on long island in new york. it was 300 for the clutch then 36 for the throwout bearing(not included w/ clutch). u can find it online for cheaper but my clucth went on friday night and Speedworld was able to get the clutch the next day and have everything (new front right axel too) installed by saturday evening so it all worked out good...

Good info..thanks everyone. Has anyone had any luck in finding a stroker kit for the 1.8?There are enough 1.8L motors out there from other companies (Mazda, VW..etc..) that hopefully there is a stroker kit.
