Just installed K&N Filter..=D

Hey guys i just installed k&n filter and loving it!! My car responds way better and my my high flow muffler tone sounds slightly more aggressive..=D..But im jus wondering where i can get a hard pipe for the filter?? Think maybe pepboys?? cause the have some but im not sure it will fit mines...=/? Thanks for your time!

good call with the k&n, but another option would have been to buy an e&bay cone filter/adapter

yea thanks..but im not that comfortable buying things off the net, especially off ebay..I rather get it from a store therefor if it doesnt fit i can instantly take it back, instead of shipping the product back, then waiting for ur money to come back, etc....this is very newbish of me but...Could it be possibe to make a home made one get the parts from home depot or something like that?? ... thanks

if you have fabrication skills dude... go all for it... I don't have fabrication skills but some of the stuff I did for my car... I LIKE TO THINK... came out pretty nice.

I mounted a Honda 3" metal intake and filter out of my friends totalled 89 CRX ( ) and it actually works really good, so yeah you can make one pretty cheap if you go to pep boys and take the time to figure out how to make it fit your car.

hey thanks, yea i seen 1 at pepboys for a 00-04 civics i think...but it has the same shape as ours, the thing is that it comes with a filter too that i really dont need..$80.00. Other than that i bought heat sheild that did not fit so i made it fit..the reason why is that even since i intsalled k&n my car would idle bad when its reallly hott "florida"..or when the fans come on the car would idle like crap and die out on me..=/.. but now it doesnt so it nemore ever since i bought this..

make the custom hard pipe. So are you are located in Kissimmee, so am I, maybe we can race to see who is faster. I just have a short ram, 2.5 axle back and no cat. Up for the Challenge>

i was thinkin of making a short ram, jus by trimming the intake hose..good or bad?? thats cool that ur in the kissimme area, but maybe in the future..i'll hold u 2 it 100%..if we was to race now u would definetly win! when i get some more mods in..=D

i bought a hard pipe from autozone that is supposed to go on a honda. its a 3" pipe. i had to cut bout 2-3" off of the end that the filter goes on and it fits just fine and u havta get a rubber fitting for the end that goes on the intak. i chopped the air can and and left the K&N in. check out my pics if u wanna c it.

o btw. dont use the stock rubber hose to make a short ram thats not good. also my hard pipe was only 40 bux

thanks for info!! but thing is that i dont have the right tools to cut a hard pipe..=/..but maybe i can find someone who does..by the way what tool did u use to cut ur hard pipe?? And where did u get the rubber fitting from?? sorry for the questions..just curious
