1g pocket logger question

** I'm preparing to buy a pocket logger( palm m505 )
correct me if i'm wrong please.

to connect a pocket logger I would need this
PocketLOGGER for DSMs Overview

and then connect that part to the Hot sync cable which connects to the Palm?

Not really sure what you're asking. I bought my logger from 1glink.com. Came preloaded with all the cables. My palm plugs straight into the cable. When the battery gets low I plug it into the computer to recharge.

Ok so with your kit, it includes the cable that goes from the diagnostic by driver side fuses to your palm and that's it?

Better yet have a Laptop or small Netbook?

For a lot less you could not have to deal with a real palm and batteries syncing everything, Not having a Usb adapter or pc with a real Com port, losing your logs if you don't have a Palm with a SD, Etc... An could just use a Palm Emulator. Like the screen shot I attached. It has the skin of the very palm you are talking about too .

Here are a couple links to other ways to go about things as well.

Palms are pretty dated... If spending that much I'd just wait on the Bluetooth adapter and get the Android app if you have one.

But, if you don't have one any 89 to 97 Non eprom Ecu can be Converted... . See here And Here
