Would this look good or just be plain stupid.

Neon lights were the thing in the 90's and now on rice.

Haha, exactly!

I was just gonna say pretty much this exact same thing... My friends and I had these type of things done when we were 10 years younger, But that was also when we thought an exhaust doubled the horsepower of a car.

Id leave it alone, your about a decade off with the "cool" factor.

anything that is not simple and ordinary such as flashy or bling accessories do not last long. Its almost like an impulse install or in the moment hype decision. You will enjoy it the first 15 minutes then it will become hated and annoying for the next 2 years until you finally rip it off.

10 times out of 10, if you dont install it, you wont regret it.

They've been in my car for almost a year, had them in my dodge ram for 2 years before that. I like them cause they are practical for me. I do a decent amount of night driving, they light up just enough so I can see my cupholder and if I drop something.

I have some 1.5" blue neons under my dash, and yes they have been there for at least a decade, but I did at least peel off the vinyl flames from the sides of my car. Now it's barely molested at all. LOL

If anyone has a problem with it, I have a nice hairy sack they can lick.

I have blue lights just like posted above but I put them under the front two seats so they wouldn't stand out so much. Just an idea if you don't want it to be crazy color right when you turn it on. They are wired under the console and then velcro'd (spelling?) to the seats.

I'll take some pictures tonight when it gets dark if you would like...

I would like. :D

I personally think the lights under the dash would get annoying.. but thats just me. You can always take them off if you dont like it, so try it out and see if you like it. It's your car do what you like.

Just do it. If you like it keep it, if you don't scrap it. My 1g should be in the neighborhood of 600 awhp when I get my block back and put it together and I'm toying with the idea of neon in the front bumper lighting up the intercooler, full underbody kit, and wheel well kit just to jack with people so when they say something I can say "wanna race?...then shut the f*** up" LOL!!! Seriously I probably won't though, who cares what other think do what makes you happy.

Try it out and see if you like them. I had a friend with an SS camero and it had full led under-glow. I will say I have had a couple of friends with interior lights and they all say they love them, only thing they say is that if passengers are not careful the tube style tend to break easily.

Are u a mexiCAN or a mexiCANT? Haha jk. I think a big neon tube under the extremely high unnecessary wing would look totally bad ass!!! Lol. But seriously, its your car do what u want or whatever that makes you happy! Personally neon lights aren't my thing, but to each their own ya know. I think our dsms look much better kept clean & simple. However I do like body kits, as long as they're not over the top ridiculous looking & they're still aerodynamically practical. Just my opinion.

Neon lights look stupid, but if you like it.....then do it. Don't ask for approval, make your own decisions just don't tell anyone that your doing it.

^^^^ Exactly what I was thinking!!!!:thumb:

Under the wing? What are you talking about? I'm putting them under the dash to shine in the floorboards and then one behind the back seat.

Molested? More like sexed up LOL. I know someone who took the concept and put the lights in the air vents instead of what you have planned and they look pretty awesome. Do something outside of the box.

It was a joke man. I know what u are talking about is subtle & inside the car. I was merely making fun of all the people that go to pep boys & buy the most ridiculous bolt on or even stick on mods for their cars. Like big universal wings.. but like I also said, you do what u want with your car that makes you happy! Who cares whatev anyone else thinks, its your car not theirs. But this is a performance based site & you will most likely get trashed on if you start talking about neon lights or strobes or pulse lights that go with your sound system or anything like that. Just a heads up. But to each their own man. If you like it, then eff everyone else. We dont modify our cars for the approval of others, we do it for our passion of cars, dsms, & to satisfy our own desires.

Modify your car, for you. Its not a popularity contest, your car, is your car.

There will always be a hater.
