Door panel. Can I do it without breaking plastic oem pins?

So the time has come to finally fix my door handles. Has anyone done this recently? Is it a PITA to where I just hire this out? Was looking for tips on how to not break my pins. I did it before on my old gst and broke the pins somehow. Tips welcome.

Just take the screws out and pull the panel away from the door. Sometimes the clips will pull off the door panel but you can put them back in.

How much of a bi*** is it to do the door handles on your own? Lol I have a case of beer if it it goes over an hour.

It's like a 15-20 minute job. Make sure that you unbolt the latch and lower it down though. IT makes it a ton easier to get the handle and linkage pulled out with the handle. there are 2 bolts holding the handle in, one behind the glass which will require a wrench, and one on the back of the door.

Oh its an easy 12pack job, even if you do break a few mounting clips they are super cheap, the clips seem to get a bit loose over the years anyways. You could just get all new clips and tighten up the door panel anyways while your at it.

Pulling the panel is the least of your worries, if you have big hands then good luck not getting scuffed up.

Definitely unbolt the latch, it makes things way easier. 3 T30 torx bolts

Alright. But two things. The door handle is completely broken off. Do I still have to unbolt the torx bolts? And do I just snap the rod back in? With the handle completely broken off I'm pretty much at the last step I think but the last step is confusing.

Yes unbolt the torx. When the handle is completely broken off the lever stays attached so yes you would perform the same steps as if the handle wasn't broken

Lol. The clip on the rod....any tips on how to get it off without breaking it? The very last step and it's killing me.

Just take a small flat head screw driver and pop it apart.
