Car misfiring no check engine light

My car is misfiring like it has cams it idles like it wants to die, my car is stock, the check engine light is NOT on what can it be please help.

Nope I haven't done a boost leak test, ill tell what I have all done, I replaced the spark plugs with NGK BPR6ES gapped it right, replaced spark plug wires, I switched my coil pack from my friends car, and still doing the same thing.

K ill try that but the car seems to boost fine its just that taking off at 1st gear it lags its like its not throwing enough fuel to get it going.

My friend did a boost leak test and it was fine no leaks what can it be

Thats outstanding if you don't have any boost leaks on a 12yr old DSM, my car has a new boost leak every week so I'm always running BLT's. It could be any number of things, if it feels like its not getting enough fuel change the fuel filter or at the least check your fuel pressure at idle using the owners manual (43.5psi is where it should be).

My check engine light just turned on, I read the code P1105 fuel pressure regulator hopefully this fixes my problem.

your not venting your bov are you?

i have never seen stock fpr go bad on a 2g. sometimes when venting it throws out these weird fuel related codes depending on the car, as venting is BAD on our cars without running proper blowthru setup.

It is vented and the code said malfunction on fpr.

Wow, good catch.

You need to recirculate your bov back into the intake before you spend money replacing your fpr, typically the only time a OEM fpr would fail is after you upgrade to a higer flowing fuel pump.

Did you recirculate the BOV yet?

Yes the bov is recirculated its the stock bov.

It should be good I still get the same mpg but still idles weird, now the thing thats bothering me is that every time I turn on the A/C and come to a complete stop the car dies why is that?

I think your fuel pressure is low and heres why... When your car is idling with no accesories on, like your A/C, the injectors are getting the voltage required to get fuel to the motor. You say its idling like its trying to die, its probably getting JUST enough fuel to keep the cylinder firing even though you've got low fuel pressure. Now with the A/C on theres more load on the motor and less voltage going to the injectors to fire them, causing the motor to die because there's not enough fuel getting to the motor.

Don't assume the fuel pressure is good, I'm not saying to drop $35 on a new fpr but you can check fuel pressure at the rail for free by checking out the kit from AutoZone. Since P1105 mal. code came up theres one more reason to believe your fuel pressure is sucking right now...

So do I keep the 1g fuel rail on there?, i'm gonna check my fuel pressure once I have time do you think its my fuel pump?

Could be fuel pump or the fuel pressure regulator. To check the fuel pressure with a gauge you leave the fuel rail on and just put the gauge inline with everything, just follow the instructions that are with the gauge.

Grab a multimeter and test it.

Well i started the car up today and suddenly I hear a loud ticking noise it sounded like valves and next thing you know my timing jumped what do i need to fix this should I buy another head instead or fix the bent valves?
