I was looking at the demos on ecmlink website, and was watching the basic tuning program...I know how to double click zoom in press f8 to go to direct access from that log, what I cant figure out is in the video at the top right corner of there page it is says track data log.... I cant find out how to track data log like that to see what path the ecu took for timing and etc...If someone could point me in the right direction I would apperciate it....Thanks alot...

to track datalog you need to have a log open and data on screen of that log. Then you can click "track datalog" to see where on the timing table you are according to the datalog.

I hope that answered you question, you question was a bit unclear.

Thats exactly what I want to know, but I dont see any where on my screen track datalog......

I'm not as fancy as Tom and Dave with their demo videos but I can make screen shots so bear with me. Below is a series of screen shots getting you to the DA maps to track your data logs, let me know if you need more help.

  1. First things first open the datalog you want to view and select the DA tab.
You must be logged in to view this image or video.
  2. You can track your log watching the DA fuel or timing maps, most tune with the MaxOct DA maps and then copy/paste it into the MinOct.
You must be logged in to view this image or video.
  3. I selected OpenLoopMaxOct which we'll use to eventually track it in the datalog. While your in your DA map select TRACK DATALOG first, you'll know you did it right if cells in the map become highlighted.
You must be logged in to view this image or video.
  4. Then you'll select DETACH TABLE and then you'll notice the table will pop out into its own window.
You must be logged in to view this image or video.
  5. Once you've got the table in its own window select the always on top box in the upper left hand corner of the window and then click the datalog tab to go back to your log.
You must be logged in to view this image or video.
  6. Once you do that your DA MaxOct map will be right there on top of your datalog so wherever your tracker moves in your log it will show where its pulling the value from your DA map.
You must be logged in to view this image or video.
  7. I like to play with the opacity slider to make the table transparent so I can see my datalog through it.
You must be logged in to view this image or video.
Hope this explains it enough that you can do it yourself now. :thumb:

Thats explains it real good and I apperciate you taking the time to do this and help me, for some reason when I hit direct access tab from the log it doesnt show track data log in the top right corner....It seems simple enough to do mine just dont show track datalog....Maybe because I accidentally click capture datalog to a disk and not capture datalog to screen could this have something to do with it....Thanks so much for your help...
