I have been through this oil in coolant but not coolant in oil problem for a while now on my 6bolt 1990 engine. The last thing i have tried is my oil cooler/ oil filter housing that can get crushed and leak oil in cooant.

If i get this part number: MD157670 is this the part that is succeptable to getting crushed, do to an overtightened filter?

Its the filter housing right? Are the terms, oil cooler and an oil filter housing, the same thing?

I am sticking with the coolant/ oil style from and not switching to air at this time. I will just make sure to not overtighten it. But is this the right part number that replaces this part that can get crushed, introducing oil into coolant? Thanks

hmm, im wondering why crushing is an issue. Does the oil filter housing currently on your car have a external oil cooler with it? The oil filter housings for 1g's came in two ways, one with the provisions for the huge banjo bolts that the oil cooler connects too, and the other, with no "oil cooler" had provisons for engine coolant to flow through it, from the main water tube off the water pump. If you do not have a external oil cooler setup, which sounds likely as there would otherwise be no way for coolant to get in your oil there.... perhaps you should try the other style, gain more cooling out of it, and avoid the issue.

I suppose if the ofh was damaged, it would be possible for the two to mix, but i can't say it's ever been a issue for me.
