Need some input.I have a walbro 255 and a 16g turbo.would it work if I used evo 550cc injectors with my walbro 255 and afpr and adjust the set screw on the mas insted of using a safc or dsm link. was thinking of getting my ecu reflashed to use the injectors but do I realy need to or can I get away with using the above

What is the easy and most cost efective route. use to have a safc 2 and messed with the air fuel mix and went down hill from there,I know I little little bit about tuning but don't have a wide band or data logger and don't want to pay close to a grand just to use some 550's

If you dont have the expertise to tune your car but you have the device to do so (SAFC) then take your car to a professional tuner and they should be able to set you up for around $250. Otherwise contact Keydiver, their chips can make basic adjusments that work on mild setups. BTW the word is "INPUT" not imput, watch your spelling grammer and punctuation around here, they are inforced. Plus it reflects on you how serious you are about our help. Just friendly advice.

Sorry about the gramer.new to the site and am using my phone.looked in to the key driver chips but they have diferent stages what stage would be the best for me.want to upgrade to a 18g in the future. Would realy like to get 650cc injectors so I don't have to upgrade more than once.and sorry again my buttons are so small I hit the wrong keys all the time

+1 on the key driver chip. This would be your quickest way to quote "tune" your car. Although they require your ecu to be socketed and this is sometimes hard to find / and or expencive.

If i was in your position i would do the following - get a plx wide band ( if your serious about moding on your dsm a wideband is 100% needed. these cost about 200 on extremepsi.com ) Then go on ebay or craigs list and find yourself an safc, or safc 2. the price really dropped on these since the safc neo came out. I had the key driver chip for about a year and although i did like it alot, it required some tweaking with my safc to run properly. What ive found over the years is the quick-fix is usually not worth it. The time you spend buying and installing a cheep alternative to a problem only comes back to haunt you. Take your time and save up for the correct setup youll be happier in the end :thumb:
