Anyone done business with this company that has had good experience with them?

Please let me know if you have.
 
Were they speedy with the shipment and did you ever have to contact them?
 
They contacted me because one of the flanges wasn't in stock. I think it was about a week before my order shipped.
 
Well, the only reason I am asking is because I placed an order on Oct. 1, and I haven't heard anything from them. I have tried emailing them through my email account as well as their contact page, and still no reply. There isn't a number listed, so I can't call.

I logged into my paypal account this morning and found that I had a refund from them and a response that they were out of the flange. Never did get an email from paypal about the refund and I never thought to check it for an update.

Now, anywhere else to get a exhaust manifold flange for a 420a?
 
Well, I said F*** it and made my own flange and finished the header assembly. Looks ugly but it will get the job done. I wish I would have taken a pic with it in the vehicle with the turbo mocked up to it.

Nope! That is it! Looks ugly on the outside, but the inside is nice and smooth. Took a die grinder and smoothed all of the bends as each piece was installed. With the turbo that I am using, I couldn't go with the conviential T3/T4 flange setup, so I had to make my own. Throw a heat shield on it and you won't know it is that ugly.
 
It is all really about looks :)

But, you smoothed out the inside of the welds. Clean up the outside of your welds with the same tool. If it doesn't crack in a few months then it works :)

. . . but I really DO like nicely welded exhaust manifolds, though. I don't think there is any hope in getting the flange to look better :p
 
Yeah, I wish I had some stainless tubing, 3/8" stainless flanges, a flow jet, a tig welder, but I don't.

And a warning:

Looking at this header is known to cause birth defects in the state of California.
 
That thing is ugly as hell, but I give you :thumb::applause: for working with what you've got. Hopefully it will give you some decent service life without cracking. Good luck:)
 
And why can't I use it?

It might be the angle of the pic but it looks like the length of your tubes are going to creat an issue with your I-cooler piping. The front tranny mount and lower rad. hose are going to be an issue. I also think it looks wretched, and it will ###### crack as previously stated.

I use an ebay cast mani- bought it for about $130 and it has been running decent boost for a long time. Im not tearing up the tracks or anything, but I would imagine its a better looking/more reliable manifold.

That being said :thumb: for trying. If you didnt ever try you would never get anywhere.

And FWIW my local machine shop DOES have a flowjet. They would also make the flange for pretty cheap, I bet you have a local machine shop that would too! Maybe Im picky, but quality never out-weighed patience during my builds. I always use "Decent" to good stuff. I would never run a mani that looked like that. I would have the machine shop make the flanges and the exhaust shop fab the manifold. END OF STORY.
The mani I run could be considered "Junk" I suppose, but it hasnt cracked, looks great and I have had 0 issues with it.

Directly into your turbo. I am sure your turbo costs more then your manifold would......

Intercooler piping is going to run down and behind (engine side) of the radiator and towards passenger side. My lower hose is on the drivers side.

Find me a ebay manifold made for a K27 turbo flange.

Turbo was free!
 
Doesn't the k27 have a garrett bolt pattern? I kno the porsche k turbos have a pattern the same or close enough where you just widen the holes of a garrett flange to make it work :)

I think you'd be better off getting a premade manifold, even if it isn't set up for the k27. Then cut the flange off and weld whatever flange you need, at whatever angle you need.

And next time, try getting prebent sections of pipe. It will save you some time welding and will look 10x better. All straight cut piping just screams home brewed.

Do you have any supporting modifications for this turbo?
