alright ive thought this was weird since i got the car a week ago , the guy who had the car before me installed a bigger radiatior , but the fan isnt working as of now, and theres room a spot also for a second fan .

1. how important is it that i get this fixed?

and the second question is about the teperature gage its self, its the dead of winter here in michigan , but it seems kinda strange that after about 3 mins of driveing the temperature sticks at dead center no matter how hard or long i drive the car even with the fan not working .

somone please educate me .

Not sure about the gauge, but you most def. want the fan working. It's not so important at highway speeds but if you sit at a light for 4 minutes, it doesn't matter how cold it is, the engine is going to build up some heat. I'd at least look into getting 1 fan working on the car, no matter if it's the factory one or you go get a 12" electric slimline fan and wire it in. It'll come back to bit you in the summer no doubt about that.

I would get it fixed before you start to get some warm weather. The temp senor is before the thermostat so you would get to normal operating temp before the thermostat opens up and heats the water in the radiator. It will close when the water from the radiator cools the engine and so on. So in my expreince I would say its is okay BUT I do not live up there in that dang cold anymore and have never driven in it so I cant really say what is normal in the operation temps up north.
