Ok so I have a probelm here I want to get an exhaust but I can't decided on what size. My buddy told me that if I get 3" I'm going to get fuel cut. is this true? I have a 1g laser rs with a 16g turbo pushing 16 and I need more flow. Another thing is cat or no cat? And should I upgrade my o2 housing?

...you won't hit fuel cut because of the bigger exhaust, your car hits fuel cut when your ecu detects a lean condition in your motor. you'll notice a HUGE difference in spool up since you upgraded your turbo before getting a bigger exhaust but you also might experience really bad boost creep as well... if your doing your exhaust system id save up and do it right the first time, upgrade from the turbo back. bigger o2 housing (for a 1g the 2g o2 housing ported is a good upgrade on a budget), a 3" dp, race pipe or high flow cat (i suggest high flow since its not worth getting in trouble with the police), then the 3" exhaust of your liking. just be sure to really check out the porting how to's on here because with all that flow you might be looking at mid 20psi boost creep and you'll FOR SURE hit fuel cut if you don't have an upgraded fuel system with a tune.
