Torque Specifications specs

Fly Wheel: 94-101 ft. lbs. or 140 NM of TQ (use hi-temp loctite (red tube)) Tighten down in star pattern.

Pressure plate to fly: 14-16 ft. lbs.

Main's: 18 ft. lbs. + 90* (1/4 turn)

Head stud's:
Apply hi-temp thread sealer to thread's, then hand tighten into block, then back them off (1) full turn. Put the head on one with washers, and nut's. Use the ARP Moly Lube and tighten in a 3 step process: Do them all at 25 ft. lbs., then 50 ft. lbs., then 80 ft. lbs (in order, and using moly lube), if using 10wt. motor oil finish tightening them down to 120 ft. lbs. After first heat cycle re-TQ them.

Valve cover: 2.3-2.5 ft. lbs.

Camshaft Bearing: 14 ft.lbs.

Oil pan: 5 ft. lbs.

Connecting rod:
18 ft/lbs + 90* (1/4 turn)

Exhaust manifold to head:
1G: 20 ft. lbs.
2G: 20 ft. lbs. on the small stud's, and 21 ft. lbs. on the 2 larger outer stud's

Cam Caps: 14-15 ft. lbs.

Oil pump housing: 11-13 ft. lbs. (apply a dab of loctite to the bolt's before instalation)

Front case: 11-16 ft. lbs. Except the 10mm bolt which must be tightened to 20-25 ft. lbs.


Well I figured I'd contribute these, and perhap's they will help. These were pulled from my factory manual/CD-ROM manual.

PS: If anyone else has any spec's to add, or torquing pattern pic's please do so. It would be nice if we could get it stickied so it's a one stop thread for those without manual's.
