I scrubbed mine real hard with my finger nails to move it around some to give it a second coat and all seemed well. The only downside to changing colors is getting down into the lower parts of the fibers. If you push from the back side of the carpet, you'll see all kinds of the original color. But then again, how often is the carpet out of it's normal lay?
