Do it alone. Get under the front (Rhino ramps are great for DSMs), crack the bleeder, push in the slave pushrod. Close the bleeder. Let the slave return spring draw fresh fluid into the cylinder. Crack the bleeder, repeat. Top up the reservoir. Repeat twice more. Give it 200 miles and do it again.
If you're doing it with an assistant, don't bother with pumping it up, just crack the bleeder, pump once, close the bleeder, and repeat a few times. Pumping just moves the bubbles back and forth, and you're up against enough bother in trying to get the bubbles to move downhill from the master to the slave.
The very best way is to use a MityVac to draw up from the bottom, all the way from a reservoir attached to the bleeder up to the master, but you have to make sure the threads on the bleeder aren't letting air in.
