MachV bushing kit

I am wondering if the kit that MachV offers on their website will fit our cars? I know that is says just for the 4g63 1g/2g, but I think that it might work.

Yeah, they will work for us as well. Why not just use some $2 skateboard bearings? I got a pair of 'Lucky' bearings for free off my brother.

MachV is expensive for no reason. They'll charge you an arm and a leg for the product, then they'll charge you your other arm and leg for shipping. You'll be left limbless... try installing your bushings without arms!

Anyway, I used skateboard bearings for a bit, but they fit a little too snug, so they were difficult to press into the shift cable ends. Try the Speed Source (http://www.speed-source.net/). They've got specially made brass bushings that fit really well.

The only time I've ever sucked it up and bought from MachV is when I bought the in-car Symborski shift kit. I had to buy from them because they were the only ones that sold the kit with the smaller ID shift sleeve.

I am guessing that skateboard bearings are all the same size and you can pick them up pretty much anywhere?

Looks decent... I don't know enough about shifters themselves, but the bushings look fine.

It is basically just washers. The step in the bushings makes it a little easier to install and align, but it's not necessary. The sleeve is what's irreproducible, however.

The shifter looks just like the eBay B&M clones. See here: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26811. In short, the B&M knock-off is excellent. I have one, and posted some pics towards the rear of the thread.

The bushings looks good, as Paul mentioned.

But for $110 shipped, you could get a better deal. Most eBay B&M clones sell for ~40, and the Symborski kit is IIRC 25 or 35 dollars. Thats about $80. Or you could get urethane bushings from RRE for ~15, for a total of about $60. Washers are a couple bucks, if you go that route.

Symborski kit was my favorite cheap mod ever. Tightened the stock shifter up very nicely. I've been told the Megan Racing knock-off shifter fits rather well, not sure about the other kick-offs.

I have tried different things but i must say the symborski shift kit is by far superior to all. I also have the B&M set at 50% reduced throw and I could not be happier.

My advice: Symborski shift kit is a must have, dont skimp out on this as it made the most noticeable improvement and the staggered fit bushings allow for no play in the shift plate assembly which is nice.

The B&M I have is great! but if you can find a clone for cheaper then by all means do so, because I have heard the clones work just as well.
