Hi Guys,

I have a question on how the HKS VPC works with cams. I am in the
process of building up my 1G Motor. Eagle rods/Ross 8.5:1 pistons,
molly rings, ARP head/main studs, Crower springs, SS Valves and
Titanium retainers. I am going all out. My old motor is shot
(compression is 77psi on #4). Anyways. Currently I have the HK$
VPC w/ Apex S-AFC. Not knowing much at first I discovered that
the VPC relies on decent vacuum. Would it work right (idle & stuff)
if I put HKS 272/272 cams or 272/264 cams, or will it be a disaster
to get right, since cams lower the overall vacuum (at idle). I have seen cars out there with this combination, but the more people I talk to they all say, HKS and Cams do not go together. I would really apprecate any help. All I want is to run speed density, throw away the MAF & vent to atmosphere. Any ideas/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

yes with the safc/vpc combo you can remove a ton of fuel at idel. it will not be a problem. -50 on the safc and -12/15 i think on the vpc *sorry* never looked at it THAT close.
