What kind of fluid do I need to put in the tranny xcase and diff? I plan on using Synchromesh in the tranny but what do I use for the x-case and diff? Are there any how-tos and pics cuz I dont know where the bolts are.

If I were you I would just go spend 10 bucks:confused: on a shop manual, I use haynes, that way you can figure this stuff out quick and when you need it. And trust me, you will need it. ;) Im not sure about what type of fluids though.

I found the info at vfaq.com
Tools Needed
17mm & 24mm sockets
Breaker Bar
Funnel (see Funnel Notes)
6 ft of hose (max 1/2" outer diameter)
3 qts of GL4 Gear Oil (i.e. Redline MT90)
1 qt of GL5 Gear Oil (i.e. Redline 75W90)
Drain pan

Capacities
Transaxle: 2.4 qrts
Transfer Case GL4: 0.5 qrts
Differential GL5: 0.9 qrts

I got confused for a sec cuz of the capacities but then I realized that Tranny and transfer case take the same fluid. Can I use synchromesh for bothe transfer case and transmission?
