I check the oil in my car now every day or every other day. I'd rather be safe then sorry. I also carry about 3 quarts of oil with me at all times, Just incase. If I would have done this with my last car, The engine would not have been junk because i could have added oil and made it home.

wow ... just wow. That's sad that someone HAS to drive around with extra oil just in case. How are you people loosing oil!??? Either you're leaking or burning it, but won't leaving puddles behind tell you which one
Then just fix the problem. Either way if you ran your motor for a while without oil you are screwed.
