Has anyone played this arcade? They got a set here at SJSU over summer and it's pretty fun. It's just like another Initial D but the physics are a little more realistic compared to Initial D. Of course it's based on drifting rather than grip (I don't think you could grip even if you wanted to). A good variety of cars (of course only RWD or AWD though), and the upgrades are also better than Initial D. Also instead of a sequential gearbox, it actually has a 6-speed gearbox (no clutch).

For you guys who liked the Initial D arcade, you should definitely give this a try, it's way more entertaining. I've spent quite a bit on the game already, almost finished maxxing out my Z32.

I play this game at the arcade. I got an Evo 8. It's a really fun game to play against friend that have the same power as you.

Still have the card in my back pocket for the original.

Name: Kyle
Model: Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI [CP9A]
Rank: C - Class
HP: 400hp/B

been awhile since I've played it. Too hooked on games at home since I got the Logitech Driving Force Pro finally.

how's the music in the game? Any eurobeat? I'm guessing no.

I beat the first one, that was a trip... You had to beat pac man and the ghosts for the end... I got the Mazda RX-7, and beat the crap out of them all... No one could touch me. I was 800hp and Dangerous.... the Cyan Flying Dragon was my nickname... Now the 2nd one, they have it here at a local arcade in Jacksonville NC, but they cant use cards, so I dont even play it anymore, and they wont fix it at all... BUt the cars selections bother me, they have every car from the first one, and they still dont have any DSM's what so ever.... WHY, they have the infamous 3kgt, and like 50 evos, but no DSM's? I had to choose the RX-7, cause that is the only worthy car in my eyes other than a DSM... The music a lot different, but I miss the first ones soundtracks.... really eurobeat and trancey...

Man, I am assuming no one likes this game at all... I am looking for the soundtrack, either the first one or second one... Anyone know where I can get it?

pm me, ill look for it and upload it for you if I can find it, I had it a couple months ago I know.

Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune ... great game.

You can find the track listings [and I believe the tracks themselves, haven't looked in awhile] at www.wangan-midnight.com ... I've got the two-disc set of Maximum Tune 1 and 2 tracks, as well as the soundtrack to the Original movie.

I'm actually the forum owner/admin for a site which shares very little resemblance aside from the name, haha. www.wanganmidnight.com [Shameless plug, I know. :thumb: ]

Wow, well, hook a brotha up man, I want this soundtrack bad... The first Max Tune was the better of the 2, along with the Soundtracks, The Moonlight one was my favorite... The one here at a local Mall has the Tune 2, but the Cards dont work now, so its hard to level up here, but I am still practicing though... Got to stay on top of my game...
