When playing 2-player in Arcade Mode, is it possible to have driver assist turned on when you are driving a car from your garage? This has been SOOO annoying because we cannot figure out how to do this.

I go to Options, 2-Player, Driver Assist, and turn it all on. But then it only works for regular cars that come with the game. If you choose a car from your garage, it's impossible to drive, no assist.

Thanks...

i was wondering the same thing. my evo just sat there and spun first and a good part of 2nd befor i started moving

Wait. You use the assists?

Exactly what I was thinking... haha I can launch my EVO better without assist, then with assist, and my EVO is running 9's.

I think if you really want it, go to the options then 2player battle options. Should be in there

Yes, it's in there, but even when you turn it on, it doesn't work. Yes I want the driver assist on, because if it's off and I'm trying to drive a 924 hp 350ZX, it's unrealistically hard and impossible to drive. Don't get me wrong, I know 924 hp would be a handful, but I still should be able to take a turn faster than 30 mph with racing tires. This damn game has so many bugs in it, I can't believe they released it.

Ok, if that's the problem, either you can't drive or you need to tune the suspension. I can handle my 850+hp 350z very easily through the corners.

Tuning definately helps on this, but their are some cars that you can definately drive faster w/ a little TC or Understeer Stability Management on I don't care how good you are.

I use the right analog stick for gas/brake. This gives you much more control than the x and square button. Plus you don't have the x button imprinted into your finger after prolonged play.

the reason many of us need it in 2 player mode is because it's hard to tell when your engine is aproaching the redline, or when you are about to spin out. when i play myself i can control all my cars without the aids.

So, back to the original question...... is there any way to get the traction control in 2 player mode....? I would defintalely like be able to competer better using my 350z when my buddy want to use an all wheel drive car........ IS THERE A WAY TO HAVE TRACTION CONTROL IN 2 PLAYER MODE?

I haven't really tried 2 player mode all that much yet but when I did try it I don't remember getting the option to get cars from my garage. Where is that option?

I found that out right after I posted that last reply but that's only for 2 player mode. I tried 1 player arcade mode and the option wasn't there...weird, I guess you can just go to GT mode and do it that way.
