Cannot figure out why I can't control my boost. MBC or EVC(GCC not hooked up yet), I still get 10-12 lbs.
No vac leaks, I know that, all new connections, hoses, clamps. My EVC at least holds it at 12lbs. The MBC spiked real hard to 18 then settled on about 10-12lbs also. I may have had the MBC hooked wrong now that I have searched, it is a bleeder type, I think.
Like I said the EVC holds boost but I can't seem to adjust it. I have looked at every diagram on earth and it seems right.
Port 1> vac port on mani drivers side teed with my VPC vac signal.
Port 2> J-pipe nipple
Port 3> wastegate
BOV > to 2nd mani port teed with fp solenoid
All my TB ports capped
EGR blocked, thermostat housing vacs capped. Took out the fuel cannister capped the line.
I paid good money for this thing and want to use it. AutoX I think would be a good place for 2 settings, especially since 1G's push so much.
Also would the valve max PSI make a difference on my MBC. It's a Schrader-Bellows valve thats rated to 250psi. I was using it to see if something was wrong with the EVC.
One more thing, on bleeders, do you tee the jpipe and the wastegate together to one side of the valve, the the other side tee into the BOV to mani line?
I spent an ###load of money to have the heads done and bottom end built to take some boost,
Please help if you can. Glen you got any ideas?

take your mbc, put one line from a boost source (jpipe) then put the outlet of the controller to the the wastgate. Run a dedicated line to your BOV from the Intake manifold behind the fuel rail to help prevent compressor surge.

YOu will know if the mbc is on backwards because there will be no boost control and the boost will skyrocket unlimited. If you put it on and it does control boost, screw it in tighter and the boost will rise, screw it out looser and you will have less boost.

If you try this both ways, and you still get 10-12 psi, tell us what rpm it happens at. YOur flapper might not seat all the way and it might be slowly building boost, but staying open.

Try that, and let us know what happens.

I think my A.D.D. has made me retarded. The valve works both ways, so at least I won't get it backwards. Now that I have come back to planet earth I think I will try to go hook up the the valve the right way and see what happens. If I can adjust the boost after this, what about the EVC?
This better work or I will cry.
Thanks, I'll be back with an answer,

ok, so its not a "mbc" like a sbr or joe p or hallman or something like that. Its something you are making work as a MBC... maybe thats your problem. But try running dedicated lines, and make them as short as possible to avoid boost spikes. I never like to "T" anything from another line, id rather get an extra fitting put in somewhere.

Good luck, let us know what happens.

One last thing, my valve doesn't have a bleed hole in it. It will just limit air thru a needle and seat out the other side. I don't think I can use this type of valve for this, it just makes a loop with nowhere for the air to be released. I used this type of valve on my GN T-type and it worked great.
Can I make a loop from the jpipe and wastegate to one side of the valve and use the knob to control the bleed off between the 2? Maybe run the bled air to the intake mani?
