now dont go bashing the turbo because ive read the forum posts with everybody saying this turbo is junk, but i have read a few from people saying that this is a good street turbo and that is what im looking for, not a drag racing monster.

the motor i am getting comes with a 19c turbo. i was just looking for some info about the turbo. i know that it cant be taken past 20 psi and that is fine with me. i just want to know how it will behave on a dd street car and for the future can i possibly adapt a g wheel to take the place of the c?

Well the 17C compressor can handle over 20 psi on a stockish 4g63 just fine. I havn't heard of the 19C. But likely MHI upped the exducer diameter, which allows for even more efficient flow at the higher boost levels. At least they upped the indecer dimater which increses overall flow, and looking at a 17C, we see a decent efficiency at over 20 psi. So in short: It's worth taking the 17C to that boost level w/ a stock long block, so why not a "19C"?

Do you mean a 19T? I'm looking at several MHI compressor maps. This compressor looks to flow like a big 16g. Yet has the high boost efficiency of the evo316g/18g/20g.

EDIT: Turbochargers.com rates the 19c as a 550 cfm compressor . . . The same as a large 16g. . .

There is a list of MHI turbos and their potential on dsmtalk.com. . . There it is stated that the 19c is rated at 600cfm. If that is the case, it will perform better than an evo3 16g if the efficiency up top is not terrible. . .

Do you know which turbine wheel you have?

the guy said it is a 19c. i havent heard of a 19t. can you send me a link to those compressor maps?

that is the td05 turbine 19c, i think the one on the motor i am getting is the td06 turbine wheel but im not 100% on that one.

The 19C is a slightly larger variant of the 19t it was used in early 80s for several vehicles. My cousin Seiji (who's in his 40's now..) used to have this turbo. It was a fantastic piece for some of mirage cedias of the 90s. Here's the 19t

are you sure on that? i thought the 19t was an upgraded turbo for tt 3000gt's.
and from what ive heard the 19c is around the 16g in flow.

any info is apreciated.
