Okay everyone, I am taking a huge step for myself in upgrading my '95 eagle talon AWD Automatic. I just put a new head gasket on it 2 months ago and I know I probably should have went with ARP's but I really did not think about upgrading untill last week when I took the T-25 off and saw that it was not in the best shape and that I would need a new one.
I have done minor mods up to this point. I will be rewiring the fuel pump this weekend to start things off. The next steps will include, in no particular order, a Walbro 190 LPH, 650 CC injectors, EVO III 16G turbo, MAF translator gen 2, a wideband controller that i have not decided on yet, a 3" cat-back exhaust along with a 3" high flow cat (I will do the downpipe eventually, but that is probably an expense I can do without for now), and a translab shift kit along with an end clutch rebuild. I may have missed something, but you get the idea.
I think I have found good discussions on everything except hooking the new EVO III up to the stock intercooler (another thing I will replace down the road). I have heard something regarding a J-pipe and I have seen a picture of it. From pictures, it does not look that it will make the parallel bend at the end that I need for it to hook up to my stock lower intercooler pipe(rather stock tubing/mesh). Can anyone explain how this works or if a J-pipe can only be used with an upgraded intercooler...etc...etc?
