I used to have a 17c turbo and recently replaced it with an rs49t. Instead of getting a new intake i just uesd the same 2" Injen one that was on before. I have a 2" to 3" silicon coupler from the intake to the turbo. Do you think its worth getting a 3" intake system?

might as well chop your intake and make it a three incher or lose the intake w/ a MAFT/standalone/ or VPC.

just run a cold air intake to close to the wheel well. that way u can take advantage of the cool air. 50 degrees cooler meens less knock. less knock more hp, and so forth. uno the drill. also use a 3in pipe. any local exhaust shop can do this for around 20-30 dollars. or build one urself not that hard.

Your intake won't be THAT restrictive. I would just keep it until you are ready to upgrade to a MAF-T Blow Thru setup. You might lose a couple hundred RPM's in spoolup but that is about it. Like said before just place it as close to the cold air as possible and it won't make a whole lot of difference in the intake pipe size.

what's the use of a cold air intake when you already have a FMIC? want to suck up more debris? ROFL

wow i figured you guys were going to tell me to get a 3" right away. I thought it was holding me back a good bit. Right now im just trying to find out whats wrong with my car. It runs terrible. Look at my mods...i run a 14.5 with a 2.0 launch. I just need dsm link!
